Sherrill Gill

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Sherrill Gill, age 61, of Pinola, MS who passed away on August 31, 2011 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at Lone Star Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Mark McArthur officiated. Pall bearers were Charles Jenkins, Ben Kitchens, C. J. Jenkins, Neal Walker, Terry Moore, Aaron Moore, Chuck Martin and Dewayne Herrington. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Emily Sherrill Gill was born on April 4, 1950. She was the daughter of Larkin Herrington and Bertha Harvey Herrington. She worked as a waitress in the Prentiss area for many years. She attended Goss Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Gill of Pinola, MS; four sons, Ronnie Ellzy of Texas, Michael Ellzy of Lena, MS, Quinton Gill of Pinola, MS and James Gill of Carson, MS; two daughters, Misty Ellzy Jordan of Jackson, MS and Nikki Walker of Prentiss, MS; nineteen grandchildren; one brother, Louie Herrington of Prentiss, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
