Funeral services were held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Melbourn Paul Keisman, age 87 of Prentiss, MS who passed away August 24, 2011 at his residence. Interment followed at Brady Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Sessions Polk officiated. Pallbearers were Brandon Scott, Buddy Keisman, Bartley Keisman, Mitchell Roberts, Clay Davis, David Fortenberry, Adam Keisman and Marcus Allenbach. Mr. Melbourn Paul Keisman, a native of Huntington, AR, was the son of Gus Keisman and Farris Looper Keisman. Mr. Keisman was employed with Southern Natural Gas for 42 years. He was a devoted member of Prentiss United Methodist Church. He served in the US Navy and was a veteran of WWII, an Adjutant of the American Legion and a Mason. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Keisman was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Keisman and daughter, Emily Foret. He is survived by one son, John Keisman and wife, Nancy of Luling, LA and one daughter, Ella Lane of Prentiss, MS; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Oran Keisman of Oakvale, MS, Gene Keisman of Clinton Township, MI, David Keisman of Ft. Smith, AR and Jim Keisman of Pocola, OK and one sister, Mary Etta Morey of Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prentiss United Methodist Church, P O Box 494, Prentiss, MS 39474.
