Funeral services were held Friday, August 26, 2011, at Prentiss Presbyterian Church for Funeral services were held Friday, August 26, 2011, at Prentiss Presbyterian Church for Mr. Frank Williams, Jr., age 83, of Prentiss, MS who passed away August 22, 2011 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Service of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Dr. F. W. Tripp officiated. Serving as pallbearers were: Stefan W. Hollingsworth, Robert E. Bell, Richard Venturini, Brian Nobles, Jim Williams, Jeff Williams, Jr., and Artie Vaughan. Mr. Frank Williams, Jr. was born on January 15, 1928 in Mississippi. He was the son of Frank Williams, Sr. and Anna Bullock Williams. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy. He worked with Southern Pine and Southern Natural Gas Co. as a Radio Technician. He owned Williams Communication Service in the early 1970s. He was a member and Elder of Prentiss Presbyterian Church, and a Master Mason. Mr. Williams is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Hollingsworth of Brandon, MS; three sons: Frank Williams III of Hattiesburg, MS, Jeffery Williams, Sr. of Gulfport, MS, and Scott Williams of Prentiss, MS; one sister, Betty Mason of Collins, MS; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, and three sisters.
