Sherry Cole Fitzhugh

Funeral services were held Monday, August 22, 2011 at Society Hill Baptist Church for Mrs. Sherry Cole Fitzhugh, age 57, who passed away August 20, 2011 at her residence in Oakvale, MS. Interment followed at Society Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Eddie Myers and Rev. Tommy Broom officiated. Pall bearers were Tommy Langston, Randy Langston, Carl Taylor, Cole Rush, Johnnie Cole and Perry Jones. A native of Jefferson Davis County, MS, Sherry Ann Cole Fitzhugh was born on January 28, 1954. She was the daughter of Ray L. Cole and Peggy Crump Cole. She worked as a Deputy Clerk with the Jefferson Davis Circuit Clerk for several years. She was a member of Society Hill Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She is survived by her husband, Gary Fitzhugh of Oakvale, MS; four daughters, Ruby Varnado of Franklinton, LA, Terri Cottle of Greenwood, SC, Monica Lott and Ashley Daniels both of Oakvale, MS; seven grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Cole Dyess of Prentiss, MS and a brother, Dickie Cole of Monticello, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents.
