Joan McPhail

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Dublin Baptist Church in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Joan McPhail, age 81, of Collins, MS who passed away July 29, 2011 at Arrington Nursing Center in Collins, MS. Interment followed at Dublin Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Robert Dunn and Rev. Robert Sones officiated. Pall bearers were Mark McPhail, Chris McPhail, Eddie Sanford, Craig Sanford, Colby Lopez and Arnold Gilmore. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Joan Boleware McPhail was born on July 12, 1930. She was the daughter of Ellis Boleware and Lois Raybon Gordon. She was a homemaker and a member of Dublin Baptist Church. Mrs. McPhail is survived by a son, Charles McPhail (Brenda) of Collins, MS; two daughters, Deborah Sanford (Michael) and Gayle Stafford (Harold) all of Collins, MS; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one brother, David Boleware of Carson, MS; one sister, Sue Marks of Marco Island, FL and one step-sister, Nay Cliburn of Prentiss, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chester McPhail, a brother, a sister and a step-sister.
