Charlene P. Spears

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Charlene Spears, age 85, of Prentiss, MS who passed away July 26, 2011 at JDCH Extended Care Facility in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Tommy Broom officiated. Pall bearers were Troy Hall, Pat Butler, David Miller, Phillip Herrin, Corky Kerly and John Perrin. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Charlene Polk Spears was born on February 23, 1926. She was the daughter of Abner Polk and Addie Myers Polk. She was a homemaker and a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Spears is survived by a daughter, Claudene May of Magee, MS; two sons, Larry Don Spears and Danny Spears both of Prentiss, MS; two grandchildren and one brother, Robert Polk of Prentiss, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claude Spears, one brother and two sisters.
