Billy R. Barnes, Jr.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Billy Ray Barnes, Jr., age 44, of New Hebron, MS who passed away July 18, 2011 at JDC Hospital in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Brady Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Brad Lynn, Christopher Griffith, Toby Lee, Heath Robinson, Scott Polk, Lee Johnson, Kevin Saulters and John Robert Lee. Billy Ray Barnes, Jr. was born in Hattiesburg, MS on April 23, 1967. He was the son of Billy Ray Barnes, Sr. and Emily Mayette Walker. Mr. Barnes worked as the Plant Manager at Lee’s Pigskins for many years. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the Clem Fire Department and a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, Donna McNease Barnes of New Hebron, MS; a son, Justin Barnes of Petal, MS; his mother, Emily Walker of Sumrall, MS; a brother, Dabo Lee of New Hebron, MS; a step brother, Jimmy Ray Lee of Prentiss, MS; and two step sisters, Judy Brinson and Annette Calvert both of New Hebron, MS. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Lee Barnes.
