Sharon Benton

Graveside services were held Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Sharon Benton, age 57, of Prentiss, MS who passed away July 5, 2011. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Butch Harmon and Rev. John Barnes officiated. Pall bearers were Winfred Benton, Weldon Benton, Michael Loftin, Scott Loftin, Danny Jones, Randy Holloway, Cash Rawal and Sam Manwani. A native of Mississippi, Sharon Benton was born on June 28, 1954. She was the daughter of Bill and Estelle Lindsey. She worked as a clerk for Cash’s Truck Stop in Lone Star, MS. She attended Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Benton is survived by her husband, Wilburn Benton of Prentiss, MS; two sons, Shawn Loftin and Joshua Loftin both of Florence, MS; six grandchildren; her mother, Estelle Lindsey of Prentiss, MS and a brother, David Shivers of Prentiss, MS. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Lindsey.
