Arlene Gentry

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Arlene Gentry, age 84, who passed away June 26, 2011 at her residence in Prentiss. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Shawn Gentry, Davey Gentry, Danny Gentry, Michael Atwood, Randall Gentry, Chad McInnis and Randy Gentry. Honorary pall bearers were Reggie Davis, Tony Sykes, Josh Sykes, Danny Warren and Keith Cliburn. A native of Jefferson Davis County, Arlene Myers Gentry was born on January 20, 1927. She was the daughter of John Daniel Myers and Lillie Polk Myers. She worked as a seamstress with Kellwood Manufacturing and Edward Hyman. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Gentry is survived by four sons—Randy Gentry of New Hebron, MS, Carroll Gentry of Prentiss, MS, David Gentry of McComb, MS and James McInnis of Sanford, NC; two daughters, Sharon Bullock of Prentiss, MS and Glenda Atwood of Pigeon Forge, TN; fifteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian Bass of Prentiss, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Jim McInnis and Lee M. Gentry.
