Funeral services were held Saturday June 11, 2011 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Marie Bigner Little, 78, who passed away at her home in Prentiss on June 8, 2011. Interment followed at Johnston Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Summit, MS. Rev. Ben James officiated. Pallbearers were Michael Albritton, Henry Little, Anthony Little, Larry Richardson, Bill Cummings and Tom Brumfield. Mrs. Little was born in Harrahan, LA on July 22, 1932. She graduated from Johnston Station School in Summit and worked in Jackson where she met her husband, Sidney. After several moves, they settled in Prentiss, MS where they operated The Swap Shop. She was a faithful member of Prentiss Baptist Church, serving many years in the nursery and singing in the choir. She was a devoted wife for 23 years, a loving mother and grandmother and a dear friend to all who knew her. Mrs. Little is survived by one son, Dale Little and wife Dottie of Natchez, MS; one daughter, Linda Smith and husband, Speedy, of Carson, MS; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Erleine Parish of Kosciusko, MS and Anna Mae Cummins of Luling, LA, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Blanche Bigner; her husband, Sidney Roberts Little; three sisters: Geneva Albritton, Grace Brown, and Ava Carroll Albritton; two brothers: J.W. (Winston) Bigner and Nelson Bigner. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was charge of arrangements.
