Beatrice Kent

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Beatrice Kent, age 87, of New Hebron, MS who passed away June 5, 2011 at Biloxi Regional Medical Center in Biloxi, MS. Interment followed in Slater Cemetery. Rev. Michael Giles officiated. Pallbearers were: George Patterson, Rocky Shivers, Tommy Coleman, Tim Crain, Andrew Wolf, Eric Jensen, and Johnny Cole. Mrs. Louella Beatrice Kent was born in Maben, MS on August 19, 1923. She was the daughter of Jack Stallings and Glendora Elizabeth Turner Stallings. She was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church. Mrs. Beatrice was ‘the Avon lady’ for 20 years. She is survived by two daughters: Ann Shivers and husband, Jerry, of New Hebron, MS and Glenda Patterson and husband, George, of San Jose, Costa Rica; one sister, Rona Coleman of Starkville, MS; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two children and a great-granddaughter.
