Merle Sanders

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss, MS for Mrs. Merle Sanders, age 90, who passed away May 31, 2011 at JDCH Extended Care Facility in Prentiss, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were Daniel Sanders, Ned Sanders, Brent Sanders, Danny Sanders, Jasper Lee and Tim Peavy. Mattie Merle Sanders was born on June 7, 1920 in Mendenhall, MS. She was the daughter of Thomas Parrett and Mary Jane Moore Parrett. She worked for many years with New Hebron Manufacturing. She was a member of the Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanders is survived by a son in law, Bill Bourne and grandson, Blake Bourne both of New Hebron, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gus Sanders, her daughters and twelve brothers and sisters.
