David W. Saulters

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Santee Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS for Mr. David W. Saulters, age 60, who passed away March 10, 2011 at his residence in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Mack Graves Cemetery in Bassfield. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Tony Bagley officiated. Pall bearers were Billy Moore, Jeff Saulters, Clinton Saulters, David Hutchinson, Josh Reid, and Kyle Hathorn. David Wayne Saulters was born on June 17, 1950 in Prentiss, MS. He was the son of Dick Saulters and Carolyn Graves Saulters. He worked as a Forester with the US Forestry Commission for more than twenty seven years before retiring. He was a member of Santee Baptist Church. Mr. Saulters is survived by his step sons, Samuel “Sambo” Saulters of Prentiss, MS, Hank Saulters and Clinton Saulters both of Sumrall, MS; step daughters, Hilda King of Collins, MS and Joyce Cook of Columbia, MS; brother, Roger Dale Saulters of Bassfield, MS; thirteen step grandchildren and twenty step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Christine Saulters.
