Charles R. Daniels

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Charles Daniels, age 88, who passed away March 9, 2011 at his residence in Petal, MS. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated. Pall bearers were Dr. Bill McCann, Kyle Pickett, Ray Pickett, Joey Benoit, Korky Holliman and Marty McNease. Charles Romeo Daniels was born on September 18, 1922 in Covington County, MS. He was the son of John Floyd Daniels and Maude Brister Daniels. He was in the Merchant Marines and was a Veteran of World War II. He was the owner and operator of Daniels Shell for twenty five years. He was also a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a mason. Mr. Daniels is survived by his daughter, Shelia Pickett of Petal, MS; three grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister, Betty McCann of Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Cordia Daniels, two brothers, and a son.
