Gerald L. Berry

Funeral services were held Friday, January 21, 2011 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Gerald Berry, age 64, of Prentiss, MS who passed away January 19, 2011 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss. Rev. David Meadows officiated. Interment followed at Brady Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were James Runnels, Ryon Runnels, C.L. Mayhew, Bobby O’Quinn, Jeppy Rush and Lonnie Kight. Gerald Lynn Berry was born October 21, 1946 in Hattiesburg, MS. He was the son of Henry Jackson Berry and Inez Bass Berry. He worked as a law enforcement officer before retiring. He worked twelve years for the Pearl Police Department and five years for the Prentiss Police Department. He was a member of Prentiss Methodist Church. Mr. Berry is survived by his wife, Jeanette Berry of Prentiss, MS; daughter, Stephanie Ann Robertson of Maryland; two step-daughters, Darlene Goodwin of Byram, MS and Sharlene Runnels of Hattiesburg, MS; God son, C.L. Mayhew of Bassfield, MS; sister, Mary Frances Bridges of Prentiss, MS; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; and sister-in-laws, Ellen Wigley of Vicksburg, MS and Carlene Ellis of Tupelo, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents.
