Annie Laura Ramshur

Funeral services were held Friday, January 7, 2011 at Whitesand Baptist Church for Mrs. Annie Laura Ramshur, age 76, of New Hebron, MS who passed away January 5, 2011 at the MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Rev. Charles Burnham and Rev. Gene Douglas officiated. Saulters Moore Funeral Service of Prentiss was in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were Dean Banks, Joe Don Bridges, Chase Kelly, Tommy Douglas, Toby Douglas and Richard Santora. Annie Laura Ramshur was born November 12, 1934 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Thomas Douglas and Edith Jewel Harvey Douglas. She worked as an Inspector with New Hebron Manufacturing. She had also worked with KLH. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Ramshur is survived by a daughter, Amy Shoemaker of Brandon, MS; her sons, Thomas Ramshur of New Hebron and Ronnie Ramshur of Florence; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a sister, Hilda Mae Bridges of Prentiss and brothers, Gene Douglas of New Hebron and Phillip Douglas of Hazlehurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Percy Ramshur, six brothers and a sister.
