Funeral services with military honors were held Friday, July 27, 2012 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. William S. “Calvin” Lee, age 74, of Pearl, MS who passed away July 24, 2012 at the MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were Brad McQuire, Michael Hydrick, Blake Walls, Donald Walls, Randall McQuire and Tommy Breeland.

A native of Jefferson Davis County, William S. “Calvin” Lee was born on November 26, 1937. He was the son of Reggie Lee and Lurlean Cliburn Lee. A career military officer with the US Air Force, he served twenty four years and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was decorated four different times for Outstanding Duty and Service to his country and received the Meritorious Service Medal upon his retirement.

Mr. Lee enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren including his four-legged “children”, his dogs. He was a proud member of the Whitesand Baptist Church Relay for Life team. He particularly enjoyed participating yearly in the Jefferson Davis County Relay for Life since he was a cancer survivor. He was also a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

Mr. Lee is survived by his sons, Chris Lee of Pearl, MS, Mike Lee of Thibodeaux, LA and Tim Lee of Covington, LA; his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret Jones of Vicksburg, MS, Helen McRaney of New Hebron, MS and Elizabeth Shows of Petal, MS; and his brother, David Lee of New Hebron, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, one daughter, one sister and a brother. Online condolences and a guest registry are available at www.saultersmoorefuneralhome.com.
