Funeral services were held Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Whitesand Baptist church in Prentiss for Mrs. Marcelle Smith, age 86, of Magee, MS who passed away May 25, 2012 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Pall bearers were Dale Magee, Dan Pierce, Jon Pierce, Dickie Smith, Donnie Smith and Emmett Smith, Jr.

Mrs. Marcelle Estelle Smith was born on May 16, 1926 in Walthall County, MS. She was the daughter of V. J. Magee and Irene Thomas Magee. Mrs. Smith with her husband, Henry, owned and operated A. B. Smith & Son Grocery Store, for more than forty years. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Cindy Coats and Susan Slater both of Prentiss, MS and Sherry Fortenberry of Magee, MS; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
